Can I make changes to my build? Change windows, and door heights, put walls In or take them out, change the design of The kitchen or cabinetry?

No, the answer is negative. If the construction process is still in its early stages, you may fill out a Construction Variation Form using your CSC and send it back to the Estimating Department for reprocessing. However, this will cause a delay in your construction project and will come with a fee. It is important to note that all changes must be made in writing and signed, as verbal changes are likely to be overlooked and mistakes can be made.

Can I make changes to my Selection Choices?

In case you need to make changes to your construction plans, you can fill out a Construction Variation Form with your CSC. However, please note that a fee may be incurred if it is still early in the process. If the orders have already been placed or the project is too far along, unfortunately, no changes can be made.

What time can Trades People be on site?

Our team of subcontractors, known as the Trades People, are permitted to commence work on site between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. It is imperative that they maintain a level of noise that is considerate to our neighbours in the surrounding area.

Can I ask Trades People to do extra work?

You can inquire with your supervisor or CSC to find out if it’s possible. However, it may have to wait until after Hand Over.

Not included in my contract?

Our contractors follow strict guidelines that require them to carry out their work in accordance with the construction plans and purchase orders. They do not have the authority to make changes to these plans upon the owner’s request. If you visit the site and want to make alterations while the contractor is present, kindly reach out to the CSC for internal processing and on-site implementation.

I have noticed something wrong with the Build.

It is possible that the Trade Person has not finished their work and may return to complete the job. If you feel that the work is not in line with what was agreed upon, kindly refer to your contract and signed plans. In case of any discrepancies, please send a polite email to your CSC, including photos and a description of the error. If there has been an error on Rossdale’s part, we will rectify it.

I am not happy with the time it is taking to build my house.

Currently, building time frames in Australia are at an unprecedented high. This can be attributed to various factors such as building grants, natural calamities like floods and fires, which have resulted in a scarcity of skilled labor and supply chain disruptions. Rossdale wants to maintain our quality.

Our goal is to ensure that there are no delays in the construction process so that you can move into your new home as soon as possible.

My neighbour is also building and always has more Trades People on site.

At Rossdale Homes, we prioritize building your home in a timely manner without any delays. Our main focus is to ensure that your home is built to the highest quality standard. Our trades are always busy and will work on site to complete the necessary tasks as soon as possible.

As trades are subcontractors, it is out of our control if they choose to sleep during their breaks.

Can I have other Trades commence work on my House during the build?

Please note that only Rossdale trades are permitted on the site during the construction process. Any additional trades must be arranged and documented in the contract and must be signed by both Rossdale and the client. This policy includes but is not limited to, air-conditioning, curtains, security systems, external works, and landscaping.

Can I have someone come to measure for:

If you have the permission of your Supervisor and CSC, you can request for curtains, built-ins, or flooring. Your CSC can assist you in obtaining a key which must be returned within 48 hours. A refundable deposit of $50 (Cash) is required, along with a photocopy of your Driver’s License.

My CSC has not answered my calls or my emails.

When contacting us via landline, kindly leave a voice message as we don’t display missed caller ID numbers. We aim to reply within two business days via email, but please note that your CSC may need to liaise with other departments, management, businesses, or councils. Thank you for your patience.

Someone has dumped Rubbish on my block.

As the person in charge of the building, Rossdale is responsible for disposing of all the rubbish generated during the construction process. However, if you happen to have inconsiderate neighbors who have taken advantage of your property by dumping their unwanted items such as an old TV or a mattress, you will need to contact your local council to arrange for their removal.

Vandalism and Theft

We understand how upsetting it can be to discover theft or damage to your new home before you even move in. Rest assured that Rossdale’s insurance will cover any losses. In the event of theft or vandalism, it is important to immediately contact the police and refrain from putting yourself in harm’s way. Afterwards, please notify your CSC of the situation via email.
